Weiss played for Czechoslovakia and then, following the separation in 1993, the new Slovakia. His son of the same name is at Manchester City.
The Country: Slovakia qualified for their first World Cup finals after beating Poland 1-0 to finish top of Group 3 thanks to an own goal by Seweryn Gancarczyk and some key saves from Jan Mucha.

Chile
Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa has selected his final 23-man squad for the World Cup finals, with the reportedly injured Humberto Suazo included in the list.
The 29-year-old Zaragoza forward is understood to have a torn hamstring and although the exact extent of the injury is not yet known, Bielsa is obviously hopeful that Suazo will be available to play some part.
